The average electricity rate for one megawatt hour in the day ahead spot market for the week ending July 16 increased by 1.39 percent to 175.10 Turkish liras compared to previous week ending July 9, according to Turkey's Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data on Sunday.
Last week the average electricity rate for one megawatt hour was calculated as 172,70 liras.
The highest electricity rate for one megawatt hour in the day ahead spot market for this week was 230.35 liras on Wednesday and the lowest was 74.34 on Saturday.
EXIST data for the trade volume in this week's electricity market totaled 463.59 million liras.
US$1 equals 3.56 liras, according to Turkey's Central Bank data.
